Transient Ischemic Attack: An Update

Fifteen to twenty percent of patients with a stroke report a previous Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA). Early identification and diagnosis of a TIA is an opportunity to reduce the risk of a debilitating stroke, especially in the first 48 hours.

This presentation includes the definition of a TIA, clinical presentation, differential diagnosis, management, and treatment including the ABCD2  Score and other promising therapies on the horizon.
